Is an artificial lawn a good choice for me?
If you love grass but don’t want the maintenance, mess or mud, then there’s one of our artificial turfs that is perfect for you.
Gravel and paving may be practical, but only artificial grass gives you a year round easy-care surface with the softness, bounce and colour of a real spring lawn. Children and pets can play on it. You can sit or lay and sunbathe on it and enjoy its great looks in all weathers. Artificial turf stays beautiful 365 days a year continually enhancing your environment and requires for very little in return.
Artificial turf is suitable for gardens of any size. Whether compact or large, sloped, tiered, showcase garden or family space, our artificial lawns remain green, tidy and maintenance-free for up to 20 years. Our turf is fully porous so drains just like a real lawn. Because it’s flexible it can follow the contours of your garden like a real lawn. With no need for watering or feeding it’s kind to the environment.

Is artificial grass safe for children and pets?
Most definitely. Our artificial grasses are designed with safety in mind and so comply to the most stringent safety standards.
- They have been assessed and tested in independent safety tests and passed with flying colours.
- Artificial turf won’t graze young skin. Most of the grasses in our range contain a thatch structure for softer landings. Using underfelt or shockpad can add additional bounce if required.
- The grass won’t fade even after repeated visits from your pets,
- Year round access to your garden and no more muddy paw prints indoors.
- The pile in our turf is non porous so as long as you pick up after your pet regularly - even in a mixed use area where pets and children share a space - you can usually let the rain take the strain just like with a real lawn, but you may also sluice a mild disinfectant solution over the area your pet prefers occasionally.
Can I use several pieces to cover an irregularly shaped lawn to reduce waste?
Apart from "Battersea" our range of products all have a pile direction running the length of the rolled carpet. Once the grass has been unrolled and acclimatised it is less obvious immediately, but it is important to still bear it in mind when measuring and planning your lawn. If adjacent lengths are not laid in the same direction joins become more visible and one piece may appear a different shade than the piece beside it even though they are from the same roll.
It is a good idea to plan your layout on paper to ensure you allow enough grass to avoid this happening.
Is AGL artificial grass guaranteed?
Yes, Artificial Grass London Limited grasses are guaranteed for five years.
Do your products stain?
Not as a rule, if you spill gloss paint or spirit based wood preservative then it may be difficult to remove all traces but if it’s a bottle of red wine or highly coloured food, the fibres - which are essentially different types of plastic- are non-porous and so will wipe clean and any remaining residue can then be removed with warm soapy water.
Does artificial grass fade in sunlight?
Advances in the manufacture and development of the materials used in of our grasses mean your lawn will remain beautiful and vibrant for many years to come. The fibres have been UV stabilised to comply with quality standard BIN53387. (This excludes our Battersea product)
